Is therapy right for me?
To determine whether therapy is the right choice for a particular individual, they should consider whether they feel sad, anxious, overwhelmed, or irritable more often than not; if yes, therapy would likely offer emotional support and help them develop the tools to manage their mental health. But strong negative emotions aren’t the only reason someone should seek therapy. If you are struggling with relationship challenges, feel stuck in your career, find yourself turning to drugs, alcohol, or food to cope with unpleasant events, or feel disconnected from the people around you, you may find therapy to be helpful.
How long will therapy take?
Our sessions are usually 45-50 minutes long. But if you're referring to how many sessions it will take until you’ve healed, then that’s a whole different answer. Each person’s situation is different. Our treatment plans always start with 6 months and I have open discussions with my clients to gauge progression.
How many sessions will I need each month?
Every client is different. Some will need weekly sessions, some bi-weekly, and some once a month. This is entirely up to the client’s needs. I will speak with each client to set up and arrangement that works for both parties.
